God’s Political Party?

April 18th, 2006 by Marc A. Pitman

Whether you agree with their conclusions or not, Sojourners is definitely a thought provoking group!

I have this sticker on my bumper. It often elicits interesting comments.

This morning, around 4:45 a.m., a guy coming in the gym to workout told me he loved my bumper sticker. We discussed it a bit. Then he said, “Isn’t God’s opinion on political parties delineated in the book of Hezekiah?”

Gotta love people that can be that witty that early in the morning! *grin*

You can get your very own sticker at: Sojourners : Resources : Catalog.

    Marc,

I personally love the thought provoking articles on the weekly Sojo mail (weekly e-newsletter). And I love your bumper sticker as well. Coming from a Canadian perspective I find the religization (new word) of politics in America both fascinating and disturbing. Related to that is a book I’m reading right now titled “The Hijacking of Jesus” by Dan Wakefield. Fairly left leaning but interesting reading nonetheless.

    Thanks for the comments, Renee!

Is that same thing happening up north?
