Conference continues to rock

Just got done a day of sessions. Started with a session on the emerging church (defined as one that’s successfully making the Gospel message relevant to our changing culture).

Met some friends I hadn’t known before.

Then two great panel discussions: one on being churches actively involved in social justice; the other on our role with God’s commission for us to take care of the environment.

Interestingly, but I suppose not surprisingly, both are very much intwined. The poor deforest land to get fuel because they don’t know alternative fuel sources are readily available. The environment suffers. Some Vineyards are actively involved with providing clean water to the developing nations. Which cuts down on human trafficking because kids are most vulnerable to kidnapping when they’re walking the mile or more to get the water.

And all of this is resulting in Jesus being made known here an abroad.

Who wouldn’t want to be part of this?!
